Wine Cellar Refrigeration

If you are looking for good wine cellar refrigeration, here are some guidelines to consider.

Some wine cellar refrigerators offer cabinets equipped with stone relief aluminum that is capable of greater induction of heat. The natural humidity in the air should be distributed evenly inside the cabinet. There is a heat sensor that measures the humidity relative to its surroundings. It has a display that shows you if the humidity is too high or too low and also gives a visual alarm that serves as a warning.

You should take the following considerations in mind. Remember that moving bottles often is not beneficial to the preservation of good wine. Your storage solution should prevent unnecessary movements of wine bottles.

Some wine cellar refrigeration companies have designed cabinets to consider the extreme weight and various shapes of wine bottles. The bottles are arranged in layers that are deep and are held securely in place. They also designed their product for optimum storage capacity. In fact, it is possible to keep thirteen bottles in just one row and up to three hundred bottles on the ground area.

It is important to remember that natural cellars are ideal for preserving wine since they are dark, free from outside contaminants and have fairly specific temperature. Light causes degradation of wine because of the irreversible oxidation of the tannins.

Ultraviolet rays can break through dark colored wine bottles causing damage to the wine. Be careful when storing your wine, since light rays of the sun should not pass through wine bottles.

To avoid unpleasant smell and molds from growing, it is a must to have a constant supply of filtered outside air. Letting the wine breathe is also an important consideration. Another essential factor is enabling the corks to conserve their sealing properties, and remember to keep the ideal humidity rate not higher than fifty percent to preserve the wine.

The 2003 Ledson Russian River Valley Old Vine Zinfandel is an example of everything this much-maligned grape is capable of producing. Many people stay away from Zinfandel because of the terrible “White Zin” craze of a decade or two ago. That is a shame, and one glass of this wine shows why.

Riedel Sommelier Single Malt Scotch Glass (1)

The Riedel Sommelier Single Malt Scotch Glass brings forward the pure malt character of whiskies concentrating their aromas and accentuating their softness roundness and silkiness. The small slightly out-turned lip directs the spirit onto the tip of the tongue where sweetness is perceived and serves to bring out the elegant creaminess of a top-quality single malt. A far superior glass for drinking fine whiskies than traditional spirits tumblers (subtle aromas of the whisky are lost) and brandy balloons (emphasize the alcohol at the expense of finesse). Recommended for: Single Malt Whisky Malt Whisky Whisky/Whiskey 4 1/2'H 7 oz. Attention California residents. Proposition 65 WARNING.

An expensive mistake?

Tue, 26 Feb 2008 14:43:31 PST
I was alerted to an article in the New York times a few weeks ago by their food critic Frank Bruni. The crux of the article was a letter Mr Bruni had recieved from a gentleman who had been dining at one of New Yorks upmarket restaurants. In the letter the gent tells Mr Bruni of an experience where as part of a group dining out, one of the guests ordered (inadvertantly apparently) a rather expensive bottle or red wine - Screaming Eagle no less, with a price tag of $2000. The price of the wine was

Red Wines have always fascinated me. This is the initiative I needed in getting this article written on Red Wines , to let this fascination fascinate others.

Red Wines For Your Reading Pleasure

Tips on Making Affordable Wine Recipes

One of the great things about wine on a date is that one bottle is a defined amount, normally about five glasses. If shared equally it is unlikely that you will fall off your chair drunk after half a bottle of wine!

Wines have become a household word and most households today have access to reasonably priced wine. Drinking wine doesn't just provide people with comfort during winter or cold weather but they also provide health benefits to the young and old alike.

A glass of red wine a day is said to prevent Alzheimer?s and Parkinson?s disease. It's also a preventive measure against diarrhea and food poisoning. These claims are slowly being corroborated by scientific evidence, all leading to the healthful effects of moderate wine intake.

Research show that while the French eat more fat than their American counterparts, the French have fewer incidents of heart attacks. Some people attribute this to the French?s propensity for drinking wine during mealtimes. A study done by the Copenhagen City Heart Study claimed that people who consume a moderate amount of wine a day have higher chances of living a long and healthy life.

Experts agree that the flavonoid, tannin and other contents of red wine are responsible for increasing the level of good cholesterol while decreasing the level of bad cholesterol, and thereby preventing strokes and heart attacks.

People who have money to spare can get the health benefits offered by moderatley drinking wine. How about those who can't afford to buy expensive wines? While not all good wines are expensive, there is a way to enable those with tight budgets to have their wine, and drink it too!

Sparkling wine can make you appear a little pretentious or if you go for a cheaper version, a tightwad; so this is usually best avoided. If you are not sure whether your companion likes wine at all, ros? wine is often a safe option as it often lacks the sharpness that people commonly dislike in wines.

The basics of wine making

There are many wine recipes that are available for free. Win e-making doesn't really require sophisticated laboratory materials. Wine can even be made using ordinary household ingredients and materials.

The basic ingredients in making wine include grape juice, sugar, water and yeast. The basic materials needed are a container for the wine, balloons and a pin, measuring cup and a funnel.

The said ingredients are used in making basic wine. Like any other recipe, there are modifications that can make your wine more flavorful and interesting. Adding raisins and almond to regular wine, with some ingredient modifications, can make your wine not only better-tasting but more exotic. The same thing happens when you try to mix apple, banana or other fruit ingredients to the basic wine.

You can experiment on making wines as a hobby. However, once you have perfected your wine recipes, this might be the start of a new career in entrepreneurship. So why not create your own wine recipes so you can drink your own wine and sell it too?

If you are really not sure what to choose, why not offer your companion a choice of glasses as an aperitif while you have a beer or spirit. This way you can judge your companion's taste. Even if they select a spirit, you can still get a measure of whether they prefer sweet or dry wines.
